Resident Screening

How do I sign up for Resident Screening? 

First, signup for your free RentApp account and begin using free online applications (they're free and easy!).

Then, from any rental application in RentApp, click the ‘screen now’ button and let us know you are interested. One of our service team members will help you get signed up and start screening.

How much does Resident Screening cost? 

Getting started is free, just pay for the screens you run. When you sign up you can choose from two kinds of screening reports:

• Credit report, FICO score, nationwide eviction search – $10 per screen
• Credit report, FICO score, nationwide eviction, nationwide criminal history searches – $15 per screen

Is my company eligible to use RentApp resident screening? 

Check these eligibility requirements to find out if our screening service is a good fit for you:

• You are a property manager or landlord who will use RentApp resident screening solely for screening rental applicants
• Your office is in a commercial location (your home office may be eligible if you have a dedicated office space separate from living quarters)
• Your office has a permanent sign with your company name

How does RentApp resident screening work? 

It’s simple. Once you have an application, press the “screen now” button and the screening report will be ready for you to view in a few seconds. View your screening reports in RentApp anytime so you don’t have to print or file.

Do RentApp screening reports include a full credit report? 

Yes, they do.

Can I screen a paper application in RentApp? 

Yes, you can enter an application in RentApp to screen. We have a question though – why? We both know online applications have lots of advantages, plus RentApp is 100% free and makes it so easy! So dump the paper, we think you’ll be happier!

How do I sign up for Credit Card Application Fee Processing? 

First, signup for your free RentApp account and begin using free online applications (they're free and easy!). When you're logged into RentApp, click the "Online Payments" tab and let us know you are interested. One of our service team members will help you get signed up and start collecting credit card application fees.

How much does Credit Card Application Fee Processing cost? 

Getting started is free, just pay $5 flat fee for each online rental application fee transaction you process.

How does RentApp Credit Card Application Fee Processing work? 

It's simple. Once it's setup on your account all your RentApp applications will include an application fee payment section. You can sit back and start collecting credit card application fee payments from all prospective renters as new applications are submitted.

Does RentApp application fee processing provide transaction reporting? 

Yes, all of your application fees will be organized neatly on a report.

How much can I charge for my application fee? 

You have the option to choose the application fee you want to charge prospective tenants. Simply define a price within RentApp and it will automatically be displayed to your renters.

Is my company eligible to use Credit Card Application Fee Processing? 

You are eligible if you are a property manager or landlord who will use RentApp Credit Card Application Free Processing solely for rental applicants.

How can I provide an application fee refund to a prospective renter? 

Refunds are made easy with RentApp. Click on the refund button in RentApp and the payment will be reimbursed automatically for the application fee cost. The $5 RentApp fee will also be refunded.

What forms of payment work with RentApp's Credit Card Application Fee Processing? 

Your prospective renters can pay application fees using the following credit cards - VISA, DiscoverCard, MasterCard, Diner's Club and JCB International.
